Presentation Format
Workshops of 50 minutes
This is an activity based, interactive session with little lecturing. It may be supported with visual material, activities and handouts.

Submission Deadline Date
Final date for receipt of abstracts and bios (a jpeg photo should be included) is 30 April 2008.

Abstracts should be submitted electronically, as an email file attachment to: programs@jalt-kagoshima.org with "JKTCC 2008 Abstract" in the subject line. Files should be in MS Word (.doc). Please name your files with your surname, followed by your first name.

Abstract Format

Title:

The title should reflect the important aspects of your presentation and be all in lower case except the first letter and the first letter of proper nouns. This should be provided in English and Japanese.


By-line:

The presenters' names should be listed in upper and lower case with first name before the surname. Separate presenters’ names with a comma except for the last two names in the list, which should be separated by “and”. Identify the main presenter who will be the main contact person, in bold. All conference information will be sent to the main presenter. It is their responsibility to forward this information to any other presenters.

The position/title, institution or organisation name and postal address of the main presenter should start on a separate line, and should include their email address and contact phone number.

Abstract:

The body of the abstract should start on the next line and comprise one paragraph of not more than 300 words. The abstract should clearly state the intention of the presenter regarding what will be covered in the presentation, and should also clearly state i) which age group  and ii) which languages the presentation will be given in. The abstract may be in English or Japanese.

The conference handbook will be bilingual, so please include a translation of you abstract: Japanese translation in the case of an English abstract; English translation in the case of a Japanese abstract.

Bio-data:

The bio-data statement of each presenter is not to exceed 50 words and should be under the heading Bio-data. Please ensure that you send both English and Japanese data.

Conference Handbook

A handbook will be produced for the conference which will contain the title, abstract of your presentation and bio-data statement of presenters. Any changes to the title, abstract and bio-data must be made before 15 May 2007 for inclusion in the handbook. This handbook will be bilingual.
